Whether you’re an MMC senior battling senioritis or eagerly anticipating life after graduation, chances are you’re juggling a lot of upcoming deadlines. Thankfully, MMC Student Life is looking out for the class of 2025 with a Graduation Checklist to simplify the must-dos of the upcoming months.
Here is a compilation of the most important items on the graduation agenda, in due-date order, from one stressed out senior to another.
- Head to the Regina Peruggi Room on March 3 and 4 from 12:00PM – 2:30PM for commencement ceremony information, class of 2025 merch, and free lunch. MMC staff will also be present to help confirm you’re on track for graduation.
- Looking to dress the part on graduation? Seniors can order their cap and gowns, free of charge, before the March 14 deadline. The order will arrive on campus for pick up in April during Commencement Packet Pickup.
- Also due on March 14 is the Commencement Name Form. Fill the form out or send a voice recording to [email protected] to ensure your name is read as accurately as possible at graduation.
- As far as finances go, if you’ve received Federal Stafford Student Loans or Parent Plus Loans you’re required to complete an Online Exit Counseling Session and clear any outstanding balances and holds by April 1. But don’t stress, you will know if there is a hold on your student account because you will not be able to pick up your cap and gown or personalized code for guest tickets. The Center for Student Services at 212-517-0500 or at [email protected] are there to help for questions regarding outstanding financial matters.
- To get your caps and gowns, personalized code for guest tickets, and honor society and leadership cords (if applicable) come to the Regina Peruggi Room on April 22 or April 23 anytime from 10:00AM – 6:00PM for the Commencement Packet Pickup.
- Following the Commencement Packet Pickup, seniors are given an online seat selection window of May 1 – May 9 to pick their guests seats. Students cleared for graduation who received a personalized code on April 22 or 23 can select up to 8 guest seats.
- And of course, the reason we are all here, the Commencement Ceremony will be taking place on May 23 at United Palace Theatre from 11:30AM – 1:30PM. Check in times will be posted as the date approaches.
- If you haven’t already, make sure to apply for graduation. The official deadline passed in November, but the most important requirement is completing 120 credits confirming graduation eligibility with your advisor. To meet the spring graduation term the deadline for outstanding requirements is May 30.
