After a summer of confusion, Marymount students – now Northeastern students – are finally receiving access to their Northeastern designated schedules.
On July 10, Marymount announced via social media that the merger had been completed. Students following the Marymount Instagram were the first to know, with Northeastern announcing the merger via email newsletter the morning of July 11th.
Messaging surrounding the merger encouraged Marymount students to expect the merger to solidify on June 30. Confusion on the state of Fall semester came along with it, as students and professors alike were unable to predict what their schedules would look like.
“There’s still an underlying fear of being stuck in the worst classes and not being able to switch out,” Acting sophomore Ayomide Adekoya writes.
“I had some solace in the fact that we’re only taking 4 classes”… “but I work very specific hours so it’s still nerve-racking not being able to choose my own schedule,” Dance and Art major Scanny Scanlon said.
Now, some students are finally able to review their Fall 2026 course schedules, but not all have been released.
In order to access Fall 2026 schedule information, students must navigate to https://student.me.northeastern.edu/ and use the Northeastern login that was provided to them by email earlier this year. On the landing page, a section labeled classes will list Fall 2026 schedules. Students may also access their schedules at this link https://northeastern.instructure.com/courses.
The process of getting schedules set up was dubious and tedious. Students were told to expect communications from their advisors and further information about the incorporation of their minors, which never came. When the form for schedule requesting was sent out, students were left to navigate a new course code system on their own. Students were left without further guidance on combined majors or other requirements for graduation.
It appears that students can communicate with Academic Advising to approach adjusting their schedules. Any students with further insights or questions are invited to reach out to The Monitor via email ([email protected]) or through our Instagram @mmcthemonitor.
