Dear Class of 2029,

You have a lot coming your way. I mean that, of course, in the best possible way. You have endless opportunities coming your way, friendships that will last a lifetime, and memories that you will carry with you for the rest of your life. However, all that coming your way can sometimes be overwhelming, especially in the wake of all the changes occurring in education nationwide. That is what we are here for: to guide you through all that is coming your way at Marymount Manhattan College and Northeastern-NYC alike. We—The Monitor—are your first source of info. We will provide you with updates on the merger, stories on current events, and all sorts of student life coverage.

There is a lot happening right now in the world, and here at at The Monitor we believe that it is our job to bring you factual, unbiased reporting on all things MMC. We can’t wait to see what this year brings us.

Some things to expect soon: Tips for the Class of 2029, updated information on the MMC and Northeastern Merger and of course, information on this season’s performances.

Interested in joining? Meetings will be held in Nugent 556 at 9a.m. every Thursday. We hope to see you there!

Sky Cambron (she/her) is the editor in chief of The Monitor, Marymount Manhattan College’s school paper and a double major in International Studies and Journalism. After a successful first year reporting on the upcoming Northeastern Merger, Sky was nominated for the EIC role. She is excited to help revitalize the print issue as well as continue The Monitor’s digital journey. As a reporter she has a strong pull towards issues on education, free speech, and unique people focused stories.
